How many times do I need dialysis in a week?

The standard precription for chronic hemodialysis treatment is three (3) times a week. Based on affordability and comfort a patient may choose to have dialysis treatment on a daily basis as is done for home dialysis in many developed countries. For patients with some residual kidney function the prescription could be two (2) times a week to preserve the residual functions.
