Who we are
Sahel Health Ghana Limited is a partnership between Sahel Health LLC, based in New York, and a local entrepreneur, Richard S. A. Arkutu, aimed at improving the private renal care sector in Ghana.
Sahel Health LLC is a U.S.-based company owned by U.S.-based Nephrologists with extensive experience across the renal care space, especially in dialysis facility operations. Sahel Health LLC is a nephrologist-driven, community-centred, cost-effective global provider of dialysis services. Leveraging our knowledge and network, we aim to establish world-class centres based on best practice sharing among Nephrologists and real-time access to U.S. medical personnel.
Sahel Health has also teamed up with the top practicing Nephrologists in Ghana, led by Dr. Vincent Boima.
Our first centre in Ghana started operation in February 2021 and is located within Nyaho Medical Centre, Airport Residential Area – Janet Wing, which houses the Mother and Child Unit.
The second centre is within the St. Michael’s Specialist Hospital, Abeka-Lapaz, Accra. Operations are expected to commence in June 2024.
